As sent to Dave Rutherford of QR77 Calgary Alberta 21December2004 on the topic of taking the Christ out of Christmas:
Although I am only in my mid-thirties, I can still remember my school's K through 12 Christmas concerts, Christmas parties, nativity scenes and even Christmas cookies!
I am not ultra-religious, but I believe that the idea that "It might offend
someone", is getting ultra-ridiculous! Every person of a non-Christian nature
that I have discussed this with are not offended. All think that the idea of a
holiday that involves family, goodwill to all men, and peace on earth is a good
thing. Most even partake in the non-religious aspects including Christmas
lights, parties, etc.
