A former Winnipegger, Ashleigh Banfield, is one of the top two contenders in an online poll conducted by TVNewser.com asking who should replace Diane Sawyer on ABC's Good Morning America.

Banfield is best known for her coverage from New York during the 2001 terrorist attacks.
